My second shoot was kids fashion, with gorgeous little model, Camila. We shot in an equally pretty location - the old town of Goias.
This shot was unbelievably lucky - I saw this old man selling ice creams and asked his permission in my broken Portuguese if I could take his photo. Then Camila and her mum came back from finding a restaurant for lunch and she sat down next to him and started chatting so the opportunity was too good to miss! Camila is 5 and incredibly inquisitive so she didn't need direction to pick up the ice cream cart lid! Perfect!
She tried to climb around that wall for some time before she looked up and gave me a proud smile!
An amazing child-height phone box!
Having fun.
Below....there are many ways to say no more photos...
"I will not wear this hat."
"You cant see me..."
In a beautiful old town even a man up a ladder can look interesting...
"I will still not wear this hat."
Market life...
The restaurant kitchen, where our amazing lunch was cooked...the food in small villages runs out quickly so you have to get to a restaurant by 12 really, or go hungry...
Another lady watching us...
Camila taking a break in the restaurant.
Camila and me at work with the most amazing back-drop
A home made diving board on the river... stronger than it looks!
Thanks to Susley Lima and of course, Camila, for making this happen. Thanks also to my husband, Marcos, for being the most patient assistant and reflector holder!
